Annual Picnic in the Park 2008
It was a beautiful warm day for our annual Picnic in the Park on July 26th and a huge success.
Linda Jean Shepherd gave a most informative and interesting talk about Wild Foods and weeds
that are edible, tasty and bursting with nutrition. Linda had an amazing array of tasty
dandelions, nettles, plantain, chickweed, and other edibles. She gave us a handout with clear
instructions on how to identify these wonderful foods of Mother Natures. We were very fortunate
to have Linda present for us, she teaches about wild foods, but she doesn’t usually do a
presentation on the scale she did for us. We all Thank her!
